Speakeasy Bookings Inc. (“Speakeasy,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our website (www.speakeasygo.com) and related applications, products, and services (the “Services”). This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and made a part of our Terms of Use.

Information We Collect: We may collect the following categories of information from you directly, automatically, or from third parties: account information (name, email, phone, postal address, date of birth, gender, company name, job title, and login credentials); identifiers (government-issued IDs, selfies, biometric verification data, and other identity documentation you provide for age verification, fraud prevention, or reservation deposits); transaction information (reservations, ticket purchases, covers, deposits, refunds, payment method tokens, billing details, transaction history, and receipts); preferences and demographics (cuisine, beverage, hospitality, music, and entertainment preferences; dietary restrictions and allergies; social media handles and usernames; marketing and communication preferences); communications (messages you send us; messages exchanged between you and venues, organizers, or staff through the Services); staff activity logs (records of staff use of the platform, including reservation edits, customer interactions, and account actions); device and usage data (IP address, browser type/version, device identifiers, operating system, referring websites, clickstream data, and interactions with our Services); location data (approximate or precise location if you enable location services on your device); visual and audio data (profile photos, images, videos, or audio recordings you upload or otherwise provide); and other information you choose to provide.

How We Use Information: We use the information we collect to provide, personalize, and improve the Services; process transactions and reservations; verify identity, prevent fraud, and ensure security; communicate with you about reservations, purchases, and accounts; send marketing or promotional communications if you opt in; enable venues, promoters, and organizers (“Clients”) to communicate with you; provide analytics and reporting to Clients; operate loyalty, referral, and promotional programs; comply with legal and regulatory obligations; and for any other purpose for which you provide consent.

Lawful Bases (EU/UK Residents): For residents of the European Union and United Kingdom, we process personal data under the following legal bases: consent (for marketing communications, location services, cookies, and where legally required); contract (to perform services you request, such as ticketing, reservations, and deposits); legal obligation (to meet legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements); and legitimate interest (to secure the Services, prevent fraud, improve products, and provide analytics, except where overridden by your rights).

Text Messaging and Communications: If you provide your phone number and opt in, you may receive communications including, but not limited to: transactional communications (such as ticket purchases, reservations, confirmations, receipts, entry reminders, and service updates) and marketing communications (such as upcoming events, promotions, or offers from venues or organizers). Some of these communications may be sent by Clients using Speakeasy’s platform. Clients are prohibited from sending communications to any recipient who has opted out and are solely responsible for ensuring valid consent, honoring opt-outs, and complying with applicable laws (including the TCPA, CAN-SPAM, CTIA guidelines, and state “mini-TCPA” laws). Speakeasy does not control Client message content or recipient lists and disclaims responsibility for Client compliance. You may opt out of Speakeasy-sent messages at any time by replying STOP or contacting contact@speakeasygo.com. To stop receiving Client-sent marketing messages, follow the opt-out instructions in that message or contact the venue or organizer directly. Message/data rates may apply; message frequency varies.

How We Share Information: We may share your information with: venues and event organizers (to fulfill reservations, process entries, and deliver communications); payment processors and financial institutions (to complete transactions); technology and service providers (cloud hosting, analytics, marketing, communications, security, and compliance vendors); carriers and messaging providers (to deliver SMS, MMS, or push notifications); affiliates, investors, and business partners (for internal business, reporting, and corporate purposes); legal authorities (when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and property); business transfers (in connection with a merger, sale, restructuring, or other transfer of assets); and other parties with your consent. For personal information Clients upload or direct Speakeasy to process (such as contact lists, guest data, and messaging activity), Speakeasy acts as a “service provider” under CCPA/CPRA and as a “processor” under GDPR/UK GDPR. We process such information only on Clients’ instructions and do not sell, share, or use such information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Data Transfers: If you access Speakeasy outside the U.S., your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. We rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to provide adequate protection for international transfers.

Data Retention: We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the Services. We may retain certain data longer where required by law, to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, or maintain business and security records. Consent and opt-out logs for marketing are retained for at least four (4) years.

Security: We use commercially reasonable physical, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No system is 100% secure. If we learn of a data breach, we will notify affected individuals as required by law.

Your Rights: California Residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to access, delete, correct, and opt out of “sharing” of personal information. To exercise your rights, contact contact@speakeasygo.com. EU/UK Residents (GDPR/UK GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict processing, object to processing, and request data portability. You may also withdraw consent at any time. All Users: You can update your information in your account settings or by contacting us.

Children’s Privacy: Speakeasy is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it.

Third-Party Links and Services: Our Services may link to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies before providing personal information.

Updates to This Policy: We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our website.
