Rock the House: Live Music Concert Fundraiser
Presented by Chicago West Community Music Center
On May 21, 2026, by popular demand, Rock the House returns, this time to the iconic Millennium Hall, just beneath The Bean on Michigan Avenue. Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating the sound that Chicago gave the world.
The night kicks off with a powerful live performance by over 30 talented students from the Chicago West Community Music Center (CWCMC), reimagining classic house music through a dynamic blend of orchestra, live instrumentation, and standout vocalists. This one-of-a-kind performance pays tribute to the birthplace of house music while showcasing the next generation of artists carrying the legacy forward.
Following the student showcase, the energy continues with an exclusive DJ set from legendary Chicago house artist Gene Hunt, delivering an electrifying finale you won’t want to miss.
Founded in 1999 by Howard Sandifer, CWCMC is a nonprofit dedicated to providing a safe, inspiring, and culturally rich environment for youth and families across Chicago’s West Side. For over 27 years, the organization has empowered hundreds of students annually through high-quality music education in Jazz, Blues, Classical, Gospel, and now House music. Through partnerships like Berklee College of Music, CWCMC helps students access scholarships, global performance opportunities, and pathways to professional success.
Rock the House is more than a concert, it’s a celebration of culture, community, and the transformative power of music. Your attendance directly supports CWCMC’s mission to uplift and inspire the next generation.
Join us. Feel the music. Support the future.
